Biography of Se-Hoon Lee

Dr. Se-Hoon Lee is a professor in the Division of Hematology-Oncology at Sungkyunkwan University and is part of the faculty of the Samsung Medical Center, South Korea.

Clinical focus and interest:

Dr. Lee’s research focuses on finding the association between molecular characteristics and clinical outcomes and developing new therapeutic strategy through this. In the era of immunotherapy, his research has moved to exploring genomic and transcriptomic features to predict the clinical response to immunotherapy and discover new therapeutic targets for it.

Experience:

Dr. Lee completed his undergraduate and postgraduate training at the Seoul National University College of Medicine. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and the Broad Institute in Massachusetts, USA, supervised by Dr. Matthew Meyerson (one of the leaders of The Cancer Genome Atlas Program). He has authored and co-authored over 400 medical articles on clinical and translational oncology and is involved in many clinical trials related to lung cancer or head and neck cancer therapy and diagnostics.

Dr. Lee is a member of the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer, the American Society of Clinical Oncology, and the American Association for Cancer Research.
